This Little Guy!

As my children were leaving the "nest" I decided to get a little pup as a companion. I thought about what breed to get and decided to get a Westie. A huge part of the decision to choose a Westie was because of this little guy. His name is Oliver and is my son's and daughter-in-law's little guy. He is such a sweet lovable little guy and just loves to play and be with the family.

Here is a picture of him with my 2nd Granddaughter. She is reading one of the McDuff books to him. Both of my granddaughters absolutely love those books. I have all of them at my house and they have them at home. I think I can almost read them by heart.

We are wondering what helped you to decide to get your Terrier.

Here is another picture of Oliver with Belle as they were younger. Oliver is on the right.

I love this picture of Oliver, even though he needs a hair cut. I love it because it shows how inquisitive he is and how he loves to discover things.

Debbie, he's a cutie and so is your granddaughter!! My first Terrier was a Yorkie named Sugar Bear. I had not planned on getting a dog. Some friends were raising Yorkies, I teasingly told them I wanted the one that always hide under the sofa.....not dreaming that they'd ever give her to me, as they raised them to sell and one day they called and told me to come and get my pup!! I didn't know what to do but to go get her. She was wonderful, so smart and so sweet. Never regreted taking her. My family all loved her too. I had her for 12 short years and knew my next dog would be a bit bigger, as she was only 4.5 lbs.. Somewhere, I got in my head that it'd be a Westie. I called everywhere trying to find a girl Westie, finally found one at a pet store. She was everything I ever wanted in a dog and well probably always have a Westie. Penny also came to me through friends, I wasn't looking for another but she was their favorite out of a litter they had and decided she'd have the best home if I had her and they wouldn't take NO for an answer and I love her to pieces so don't regret taking her! The picure is my Sugar Bear, I hope it shows up!

Cora, Penny, and Jack,

It is so good to have you guys back; we've been missing you. Thanks, I appreciate it. Oliver is a real sweetheart, not to mention I love my little grandchildren so very much.

I loved the picture of your little Sugar Bear! She was so very beautiful. Terriers are just awesome. You have some really good friends and some smart ones also. They know that you are an awesome Mommy. Now you are blessed to have your little Jack to keep you laughing and sweet Penny.

I hope you had a wonderful time in San Diego with your brother. We survived without being able to talk to you much. lol

Hope you have a wonderful week. I guess it's back to work for you probably. Yuck!

We sure thought we were glad to have our mom home.....then, tonight see got out the clippers!! She got Jack and now he looks 10 lbs. lighter!!hahaha I won't laugh to much, I know how she operates and I'd better find a good hiding place before she gets home from work tomorrow. She had to be back at work today. Her suitcases were here so we knew she'd be back!!

I had a great trip. Got to know my Geat Neice/Goddaughter a little better. She turned 4 last Monday, so was there for her birthday party. The weather was wonderful-no rain! Sure did miss the pups though!! They have an old cat but she's not very friendly. We all missed talking to our new friends!!

Hi all of you!

We are glad you are back and are glad you had a good trip. How great that you got to spend time with your great niece and even share her birthday with her. I am sure she was glad that you were there. My granddaughters (ages 3 & 4--just had their BD's) love for as many people as possible to be their for their special days. My 3 year old (the one in the pic) even told me she is getting ready to have another one and started to name off the people she wanted to come. It is so funny, because she just had one in March. Did you like Calif? I imagine there is a huge difference from where you live.

Penny, did you get your haircut? My little girls look about 10 pounds lighter when they get theirs cut also. I always wonder if it feels as good for you little pups to get it cut as it does for us. I know Jack looks quite handsome with his new cut. You are always so beautiful, but haircuts just enhance that beauty.

I hope all of you are having lots of fun with your Mommy back. Remember to show her how much you missed her.
